1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Nice tent, but far away from perfect, October 31, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sportz Truck Tent Blue/Grey (Sports) I bought the tent for my wife and me.
The tent is easy to build up and fits easy into the bed of our 2007 Dodge Ram. The first time it took me about an hour with all the adjustments to made but now I'm done within 20 minutes.
Now the bad things:
The rain fly is to short to cover the hole tent and the top criss-cross poles of the awning canopy are to long!!!
A small area at each side above the tail lights were uncovered so the rain get inside...
In total the tent is a base to start but it needs improvement!
I improved the tent by myself with an additional customfit rain fly and shorten the poles of the awning canopy.
Now the tent works well.
Happy Camper, May 14, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sportz Truck Tent Blue/Grey (Sports) This Tent is amazing! Very easy to set up, well built and roomy.
I am thoroughly impressed, as is everyone who has seen it.
Great concept with one major flaw, April 28, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sportz Truck Tent Blue/Grey (Sports) This is an excellent idea, and an improvement over the old design. The only other truck bed tent available does not have a floor. This tent fits my Ranger well and includes a lot of nice features like windows with mesh on every side, a large awning, corner vents, a tall ceiling, inside cargo net, and large rain fly. It takes about an hour to set up the first time, but once it is adjusted for your truck the set up is simple (the poles and sleeves are color coded). I also like that it has a large storage bag with handles so you don't need to be an origami expert to get it back in the bag.
Now for the bad. One gripe is minor, the front door does not unzip on the bottom so you are always stepping on it and the screen may be damaged. The other is major, as others have said, THE POLES ARE TOO LONG. Getting them in place caused stretched seams and popped stitching. If this causes the tent to fall apart or leak I will be returning it. Also don't waste your money on the... Read more
